Melvin C. Williams, Vice President with S&ME, Inc., has been reappointed by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Chair-Elect to serve on the organization’s Planning Cabinet, which purpose is to advise the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors on strategies and implementation steps for strengthening ACEC's governance and progress.
The Chair-Elect has also appointed Williams to serve on the ACEC Transportation Steering Committee and the ACEC/American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Joint Committee. The Steering Committee main purpose is to promote long-term, sustainable revenue sources for transportation programs and to utilize ACEC alliances with other transportation and infrastructure organizations to advance ACEC priorities.
