Upstate SC Alliance Hires Hollis, Expands Two Roles

 

Upstate SC Alliance also welcomes new Executive Committee Members

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Upstate SC Alliance recently hired Mallory Hollis as Marketing Manager, welcomed new Executive Committee leadership, and announced expanded titles for two team members.

Hollis hired as Marketing Manager

Hollis joined the team in April and manages concept, design and production of marketing collateral, presentations, graphics and other creative materials for both internal and external audiences.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Mallory was Senior Graphic Designer with a regional advertising agency. She serves as an Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design at Gardner-Webb University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Gardner-Webb University and a Master’s of Science in Graphic Communications with a concentration in Packaging Science from Clemson University.

Feather named Director of Research & Strategic Initiatives

In recognition of her expanded role in the organization’s future visioning, Elizabeth Feather has been named Director of Research & Strategic Initiatives. Feather joined the Upstate SC Alliance in 2011 after 11 years with GSA Business Report.

She is responsible for directing and executing the research efforts for the Upstate SC Alliance team and positioning the organization as the go-to resource for information, which includes compiling data and reports for prospects and investors as well as working with industry partners to provide the most up to date information about the Upstate. Feather led the Upstate's participation with the Global Cities Initiative, a joint partnership of the Brookings Institution and JPMorgan Chase, and subsequent formation of the Upstate Global Competitiveness Council.

Besser promoted to Public Relations Manager

Danielle Besser, who joined the Upstate SC Alliance in 2016, has been promoted to Public Relations Manager. Besser manages a multifaceted communications strategy that supports each of the Upstate Alliance’s initiatives and has managed the #TeamUpstate campaign. Responsibilities include forging media relationships, authoring advocacy communications, managing social media, and identifying and sharing stories of interest to Upstate Alliance investors and stakeholders.

Executive Committee Changes

The Upstate SC Alliance also recently welcomed a new slate leaders to its Executive Committee. Steve Cooper, Partner with Rödl & Partner, is the organization’s Chairman. Emily DeRoberts, Duke Energy Government & Community Relations Manager, is the Vice-Chairwoman; and Max Metcalf, BMW Manufacturing Co. Government & Community Relations Manager, is Immediate Past Chairman.

Recently-named Executive Committee members include: Steve Brown, Greenwood County Council Vice-Chairman; Bill Manson, CEO of AnMed Health; Terrance Ford, Government & Community Relations with AT&T South Carolina; and Amy Ryberg Doyle, Greenville City Council member.
