GREENVILLE, S.C. – One of the most talked about workplace topics of the last decade has focused on how management can better learn to work with modern workers made up of Millennials and Generation X who don’t respond to the classic job stimuli.
But what if there was also training that focused on how modern workers can learn to manage their own stressors and work fears? That is the goal of the Retrain Your Brain Seminar, which is the collaboration of two experienced business and performance coaches, Dr. Ann Holland of Strive Performance Coaching and Liz Parker of LT Consulting.
The first Retrain Your Brain seminar will occur next week on Friday, July 26 at Serendipity Labs in Greenville. The event starts at 7:30 with networking and registration and the program will run from 8 a.m. to noon. To register for the seminar, go to www.striveperformancecoaching.com. Two more seminars are slated for August 23 and September 20th. Seating is limited to 30 people per seminar.
Retain Your Brain will focus on helping people to understand the science behind what causes stress and how to develop real-time methods to destress, Holland said.
“This is not the 10 things to cope with stress you find on the internet kind of seminar,” Holland said. “This is about self-actualization and finding ways for these generations to own their work destinies.”
As part of Retrain Your Brain, each attendee will take a personalized stress assessment that will help them identify their own unique triggers, Parker said. A key outcome will be learning how to take power back in managing stress and burnout.
“These two generations are really together as one under the moniker Generation Stress,” Parker said.
