Greenville, S.C. [April 23, 2018] – Tickets are on sale now for 13th annual euphoria Food, Wine + Music Festival taking place in Greenville, S.C., from Thursday, September 20, through Sunday, September 23. Long known for its intimate culinary, musical and learning experiences, euphoria reveals the 2018 programming schedule and talent line-up.
The festival kicks off Thursday evening with its popular Songwriters’ Recipe and Greenville Kick-Off Party, as well as two Guest Chef Dinners. Michael Toscano of La Farfalle in Charleston will collaborate with Michael Kramer from Jianna, while Restaurant 17 welcomes Tory McPhail of Commander’s Palace in New Orleans.
The Occasional Milkshake, a three-piece band featuring Mark Bryan, a founding member, songwriter and the guitar player for Hootie & the Blowfish; Gary Greene, Hootie percussionist; and Hank Futch, bassist for The Blue Dogs; will perform at Friday’s signature event, Taste of the South, located in Greenville’s Wyche Pavilion. The signature tasting event will welcome several new and returning chefs including Jason Goodenough of Carrollton Market, Christopher Grossman of Atlas, Spencer Gomez of Holeman & Finch, Mike Davis of Terra, Brandon Carter of FARM, Travis Milton of Milton’s, Daniel Nightengale of High Cotton, Chris Coleman of Stoked, Elliot Cusher of Donetto, Alex Jenkins of Oak Steakhouse and Jacob Huder of The Macintosh. Desserts will be prepared by Charley Scruggs of Tallulah.
Saturday’s Feast by the Field – showcasing nationally acclaimed chefs and purveyors for intimate tastings, live cooking and beverage demonstrations, learning experiences and more – will feature three live cooking stages and an extensive pop-up Chef’s Table. Several intimate wine seminars and classroom experiences will take place throughout the day, including a hands-on biscuit making class with Brian Hoffman of Bake From Scratch magazine and a craft cocktail class at Vault & Vator.
Chef Steven Greene returns to Greenville for a special guest chef dinner at Passerelle Bistro where he, along with Spencer Thomson, chef de cuisine at the Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, N.C., will revive the highly acclaimed tasting menu from Devereaux’s. Stella’s, The Loft at Soby’s, Halls Chophouse and Greenbrier Farms will also welcome guest chefs on Saturday evening.
Saturday night’s Big Easy Bash will once again feature N’awlins style tunes from Soda City Brass Band and food from New Orleans’ chefs Tory McPhail of Commander’s Palace and Tariq Hanna of Sucre at Trailblazer Park. Local chefs Teryi Youngblood Musolf, Joe & Heidi Trull, Joe Clarke and Nick Graves will serve a signature Louisiana dish alongside Sazeracs, Pimm’s Cups and French wines.
This year’s “Fired Up!” Sunday Brunch will feature a group of guest pit masters in addition to more than a dozen local and regional chefs, including Jason Cote of The Sanctuary in Kiawah, Elliott Moss of Buxton Hall BBQ in Asheville, Anthony DiBernardo of Swig and Swine in Charleston, and Matthew Register of Southern Smoke BBQ in Garland, N.C. The smokin’ feast will be accompanied by Bloody Marys, mimosas and music courtesy of My Girl, My Whiskey and Me.
The festival wraps up with euphoria’s last Sunday Supper at Wyche Pavilion. Joe Kindred, chef/owner of Kindred restaurant and Hello, Sailor in Davidson, N.C., and Craig Deihl, chef de cuisine at Hello, Sailor, will craft the family-style meal, which is paired with bourbon cocktails, beer and wine, and hosted by the Table 301 Restaurant Group. Dinner music will be provided by the cello and guitar duo Wirewood.
