(TRAVELERS REST, S.C.) – The Cliffs is pleased to announce that Chef Francis Turck has been named senior executive chef. Turck has been with The Cliffs since 2006 and will now oversee the culinary programs at all seven of The Cliffs’ communities.
With more than 25 years of culinary experience, Turck began his career at the Culinary Institute of America where he graduated with honors. He has trained under Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Gorges Vongeritchen at Jean-Georges in New York and James Beard award-winning Chef Larry Forgione. Throughout his career, Turck has worked for prestigious facilities such as the Peabody Hotel in Orlando and Ta-boo in Palm Beach, Florida.
Turck plays an active role in The Cliffs food and beverage program beyond the kitchen. He recently achieved his Certified Sommelier designation through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and he also serves as the vice conseiller gastronomique of The Cliffs Chapter of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
“Chef Francis has been an asset to The Cliffs’ culinary program for years, and we are excited to have him move into this role,” said David Sawyer, managing partner and president of The Cliffs Clubs. “Chef Francis is passionate about food and wine, but also health and wellness. He’s been instrumental in creating menu items that support members’ healthy lifestyles. We look forward to seeing what Chef Francis cooks up next.”
