Greer, SC – The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Cavender to Chief Executive Officer of The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health, effective December 5, 2022. In this role, he is responsible for overall leadership and development of staff, direction of day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality health care.
Steve Cavender joins The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health after serving as CEO at multiple behavioral health hospitals. He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in behavioral health.

Steve earned his Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology and his Bachelor’s in Organizational Psychology.
Located at 2700 E. Phillips Road in Greer, South Carolina, The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health offers a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of the community. The 156-bed licensed facility includes both inpatient and outpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and senior adults for the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
