GREENVILLE, S.C. – With back to school time just around the corner, parents looking for summer camps aimed at bolstering their children’s science and math skills have plenty of options at Sylvan Learning Center of Greenville in August.
The camps are as follows:
• Writing Camp: Sylvan's Writing Summer Camp will help your child learn strategic and creative writing techniques to boost confidence not only in Language Arts, but in all subject areas. For grades four through nine. August 5 through August 8, 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m.
• Star Bots 2: Students will learn about and use LEGOs® to build different items they might see in space, such as a droid, the space shuttle or the Mars Rover. Each camp is unique. 1 is not a predecessor to 2. For grades one through six. August 5 through August 8, 12:30 p.m. through 3 p.m.
• Read Ahead Camp: Students will work on recognizing and writing capital and lowercase letters, building listening comprehension strategies, and increase book awareness. For grades Pre-K through one. August 12 through August 15, 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.
• Study Skills: Back to School Boot Camp: Middle School can be an exciting but challenging time for students. They have to adjust to new environments, take on more responsibilities, and handle heavier workloads. Our Back to School Boot Camp will give your child the skills and confidence needed for success – both in and out of the classroom. For grades five through nine. August 12 through August 15, 3:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m.
