Storybook Breakfast Announced for February 11

Junior League Celebrates Children’s Literacy

SPARTANBURG, SC – January 9, 2017  – The Junior League of Spartanburg is excited to present Storybook Breakfast, one of its annual fundraising events that helps to promote literacy in Spartanburg County, and benefit local community projects, on Saturday, February 11. There are two seating times, the first at 8:30 am and the second at 10:30 am. Storybook Breakfast is a magical event sure to delight children of all ages, and will be held at the Cleveland Park Event Center.

During Storybook Breakfast, attendees will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast at storybook-themed tables, including Curious George, Madeline, Pete the Cat, Where the Wild Things Are, and Dr. Seuss. There will be appearances by several beloved characters, a balloon artist, music, and children will receive a copy of a Spartanburg based book written by The Junior League of Spartanburg’s President, Leah Anderson. Children are invited to dress as their favorite storybook characters!
