GREENVILLE, SC -- With the partial and full closure of many businesses due to COVID-19, smaller, local restaurants are scrambling to stay afloat. Jay Nault, CEO of Storage Zone Storage and Business Centers, wants to extend a lifeline.
Storage Zone Storage and Business Center’s Hometown Restaurant Gift Certificate Challenge is a $50,000 initiative, to be used to purchase gift certificates from smaller, local restaurants across SZSBC’s various markets. Its goal is three-fold: to “provide operating cash to smaller, independent restaurants at a time when it is most needed; to encourage other businesses and individuals to purchase gift certificates from their neighboring independent hometown restaurants to be redeemed at a later time; and to get people back into these restaurants as soon as this crisis is behind us.”
Most recently, Storage Zone Storage and Business Center in Greenville, SC presented locally-owned Latin American restaurant, Sacha’s Cafe, with a check of $1,000. “We feel Sacha’s Cafe really epitomizes what we love most about our smaller, local restaurants: heart, community, and delicious food. We want to see Sacha’s Cafe and places like it to continue and thrive,” Cynthia Garcia of SZSBC Greenville says.
Storage Zone Storage and Business Center has two Greenville locations, at 15 Watson Aviation Rd, Greenville, 29607 and 108 Old Standing Springs Road, Greenville, 29605 close to the Donaldson Center.
