Smith & James Men’s Clothing is eager to announce the relocation and development of their own Greenville store. They will be leaving the Shops of Greenridge on Woodruff Road and will be moving into their brand-new free-standing building located at 777 Verdae Boulevard, Greenville.
Smith & James has seen the changing retail atmosphere, and recognized a change needed to be made to better serve their new and existing customers.
The new state of the art store will be a two-level structure that includes 5,200 square feet of shopping area, a private tailored and custom clothing section along with a lounge and bar. The layout will also include an expanded casual lifestyle selection to better accommodate the changing trends in men’s fashion. The new Smith & James building, owned by Smith & James, will be accompanied by Hales Jewelers who in addition, has built a free-standing store adjacent to theirs.
It has been an interesting process during these unprecedented times, but they are extremely excited about the future.
Having two of the oldest businesses in the Upstate in South Carolina side by side, Smith & James, founded in 1916 and Hales Jewelers, founded in 1887, will truly capture attention of the Upstate.
The Smith & James Greenville store will be making the move to their new Verdae location in Hales Park in late spring of this year.
Along with this move, Smith & James is also excited about their continued longevity in downtown Greer, where they have been opened for 105 years. The City of Greer’s investment in the downtown streetscape has brought new life to their downtown Greer location.
