A BUZZWORTHY REOPENING: SAVANNAH BEE COMPANY DEBUTS RENOVATED STORE IN DOWNTOWN GREENVILLE
WHO: Savannah Bee Company
WHEN: Saturday, March 27
Open hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
WHAT: Following a late fall debut ahead of the holiday season and a brief hiatus beginning in January to complete renovations, Savannah Bee Company will officially reopen the doors to its newest retail location in downtown Greenville on Saturday, March 27 with a grand reopening event. The updated space, located just a few doors down from Greenville mainstay Mast General Store, will feature a new honey-inspired café with indoor and outdoor seating and a full mead bar. To kick off the opening festivities, Greenville’s mayor Knox White will preside over a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 26 at 3 p.m. The grand reopening will follow on Saturday when the store opens at 10 a.m. with a full weekend of buzzworthy celebrations.
In addition to its menu of honey roasted coffee, teas, honey mint limeade and more, the new café will serve a selection of honey-infused pastries from local restaurant Table 301 throughout the weekend, including honey madeleines and a honey baklava. At the new mead bar, guests can sample flights of six different meads, including locally made variations from Wandering Bard Meadery, for $12. From 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Twisted Stems Flower Truck will offer build-your-own-bouquets within the store. In partnership with Southern Pressed Juicery, the first 100 guests to arrive will receive a complimentary “Bee Well” shot featuring Savannah Bee Company honey, while those who order a Honeysuckle Dew smoothie at Southern Pressed Juicery’s shop throughout the weekend can bring their receipt to Savannah Bee Company for an exclusive in-store offer.
In addition to the new renovations, the Savannah Bee Company store also features a custom specialty honey bar where guests can taste a wide range of unique honeys from partner beekeepers around the world; the company’s full line of natural beauty and body care items featuring hive-derived ingredients such as royal jelly and beeswax; and more. The Greenville shop marks the fourth South Carolina location for the Savannah, GA based brand, and its 15th location nationwide.
