Registration Open for True to the Brew Half Marathon Race Series

Palmetto Conservation Foundation (PCF) is pleased to announce Budweiser of Spartanburg as the titled sponsor of the first True to the Brew Trail Run along the Croft Passage of the Palmetto Trail. This half marathon is part of a series of runs and hikes along the Palmetto Trail that began last year along the Peak to Prosperity Passage.

The 13.1 Mile Trail Run will start at the Croft Passage of the Palmetto Trail and finish along the Cedar Springs Passage.

And the trail run isn’t just for runners. PCF invites participants who want to walk/hike the 13.1 miles to do so. The goal is to get people out on our state’s trail systems, as well as, bringing communities together to enjoy the outdoors.

Once at the finish line, participants and spectators can gather for a Brewfest featuring Palmetto Trail Pale Ale, along with other hand crafted beers by RJ Rockers Brewery.

Discounted entry will also be available to participants for the RJ Rockers Southern Rock Concert with Jupiter Coyote on Saturday evening.

Called “the new twist in southern rock,” Jupiter Coyote ( delivers a mixture of Southern Appalachian boogie, bluegrass-infused rock, and funk-rock.

Proceeds from True to the Brew and the Southern Rock Concert will benefit The Palmetto Conservation Foundation and the #FinishTheTrail Palmetto Trail Campaign.

Entry fee for the race is $50 until August 15th. Entry includes one free beer at the Brewfest and a True to the Brew Trail Run t-shirt. Palmetto Conservation Foundation members can get an extra 15% off the registration price by using the code PCF.
