Registration is now open for the Upstate Run & Roll 5K, previously known as the Run for Thought, benefiting the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina (BIASC). The event will be held on Saturday, March 30 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville, S.C.
“We encourage all runners, and rollers, to participate in this year’s Upstate Run & Roll 5K,” said Joyce Davis, Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina. “This community event grows each year and those affected by brain injury and their families appreciate your continued support.”
The event offers two options for race partakers: a competitive 5K and a 1-mile walk/roll. Participants may visit the official run website at www.upstaterunandroll.com. Donations are also being accepted on behalf of BIASC in lieu of, or addition to, the purchase of an event ticket.
Upstate Run & Roll 5K is the annual Upstate fundraising event for BIASC, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to provide critical help and support to persons with brain injury and their families, educating the public on the risks and impact of brain injury, advocating for legislation, and improving community-based services.
This year’s Upstate Run & Roll 5K’s sponsors include Prisma Health, Achilles International – Greenville, and Foster Law Firm. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Allison Hall Drew at allison@startflourishing.com, or by calling 864-784-7011.
