Rebuild Upstate Hires new Office Coordinator

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Rebuild Upstate has brought on Andy Sherwood to be its new office coordinator.


Sherwood graduated from Cornerstone University in 2014 with a degree in social work. Sherwood then earned his master’s degree from Western Michigan. While in Michigan, Sherwood served for four years as the director of community connections and outreach for Ivanrest Church.
After moving from Michigan to South Carolina, Sherwood became program administrator for Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County. In his free time, he volunteers at Capstone Church of Anderson and supports multiple international missions and missionaries.
“Andy’s experience with nonprofits is going to be a huge asset to Rebuild Upstate,” said Chris Manley, Rebuild Upstate’s founder and President/CEO. “We’re very excited to have him on the team.”
In his role as Office Coordinator with Rebuild Upstate, Sherwood will join the effort to improve the organization’s administration and operations processes. His contributions are vital to Rebuild Upstate’s vision to equitably serve its four county service area.
Rebuild Upstate helps low-income homeowners with home repairs and accessibility improvements to create safe, livable housing in existing homes and neighborhoods. Home repairs can range from small plumbing fixes to roof and floor replacements. Accessibility improvements range from installing grab bars and railings for vulnerable populations to building wheelchair ramps for those with disabilities.
