GREENVILLE, SC - The Warehouse Theatre, a fully professional theatre recognized as an SPT-3 level theatre with the Actors’ Equity Association in Greenville, South Carolina, has hired Reagan Thompson as its new Director of Development.
Thompson previously worked in fundraising for the ETV Endowment of South Carolina and the Weston Theatre Company. She holds a BA in Performing Arts – Theatre from Clemson University and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
While finishing her education at Clemson University, she served as an administrative intern at the theatre under the tutelage of former Director of Development Katie Leckenbusch. She credits her time with the theatre and with Mrs. Leckenbusch as sparking her desire for fundraising over nonprofit administration. Years later after returning to the Greenville area for work, she began volunteering for the theatre serving in a variety of capacities from event support to audition monitoring.
Managing Director Jason D. Johnson said, “When the staff first worked with Reagan some years ago, we recognized her sincere desire to learn, build relationships, and excel in the nonprofit ecosphere. We enjoyed watching her early triumphs as she began her career elsewhere and we feel fortunate that she’s decided to come back and join us in a permanent full-time capacity.”
Producing Artistic Director Mike Sablone added, “The fact that she already has history with the organization and a deep love and understanding of the way professional theatre works gives her a leg-up as she helps us to build our fundraising base for the future. I am thrilled to see what Reagan brings to The Warehouse.”
