SPARTANBURG, S.C. – (December 18, 2018) – Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg today announced its partnership with nonprofit The Honor Foundation. The special event was held in conjunction with the restaurant’s official Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at the Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg location at 1707-F John B. White Sr. Blvd.
Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg is proud to partner with The Honor Foundation, a nonprofit organization created exclusively for Navy SEALs and the U.S. Special Operations community, preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service career.
Mike Kern, co-owner and operator of Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg; Will Dewilde of The Honor Foundation; and John Kimbrell, Executive Vice President of the Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce, were in attendance to offer remarks.
“Rapid Fired Pizza is a community-minded business. As part of our company culture, we look for needs in our community and develop ways to provide for them,” said Mike Kern, co-owner and operator of Rapid Fired Pizza. “We are gratified by the overwhelming community response we’ve received since opening four weeks ago, and we are always searching for ways to give back. The Honor Foundation provides crucial services to veterans and we are thrilled to partner with them. This is the start of a multi-faceted and beneficial long-term relationship.”
“Veterans often have a difficult transition into life after duty, and building professional relationships can be a challenge,” said Will Dewilde of The Honor Foundation, who is a 30-year Navy Special Warfare Command Special Operations Forces veteran. “At The Honor Foundation, we help build a pipeline to guide veterans into the professional arena, whether it be in customer service, food preparation, or an executive position. We exist to serve others with honor for life so that their next mission is always clear and continues to impact the world.”
