Prisma Health Sponsors The Salvation Army Angel Tree Christmas Centers in Greenville, Columbia

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Nov. 19, 2021 - This Christmas, hundreds of families in need across the Upstate and Midlands of South Carolina will benefit from the generosity of others when they receive gifts for children to open on Christmas morning as part of The Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program.

Thanks to the support of Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit health organization in South Carolina, this year’s Angel Tree Christmas Center will help ensure families involved receive gifts and other necessities to make sure Christmas is full of hope. In Greenville and Columbia, The Angel Tree Christmas Center presented by Prisma Health will serve as a gift packing and distribution area for families in need who were selected to participate from a previous application process.

“At Prisma Health, we strive to inspire health, serve with compassion and be the difference. By partnering with The Salvation Army, we are pleased to assist them in their mission to meet the human needs of those in our community,” said Robin Stelling, director of community engagement for Prisma Health.

In addition to supporting The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Christmas Center, Prisma Health also made a significant contribution to this year’s Red Kettle campaign in both the Upstate and the Midlands, which benefits programs such as providing emergency shelter and meals for men, women and children; disaster relief for those who have lost everything; social services support and much more.

“Prisma Health is a leader by example in our state when it comes to community support and volunteerism,” said Major Andrew Kelly, Area Commander for The Salvation Army in Greenville. “Their generous support this Christmas season will benefit children and families in our area all year long.”
