Simpsonville, SC – Dec. 10, 2019 – Foundations Early Learning Center, a Southeast-based
childcare and early education company, celebrated its recent expansion into the Upstate with a community “Winter Wonderland” Holiday Party on Dec. 5.

The Holiday Party welcomed families from the community to meet Santa, share their Holiday wish lists with him, and have a complimentary Santa photo taken with Greenville-based photographer, Megan Martin. The event also featured a petting zoo, courtesy of Fountain Inn-based Hidden Pasture Farm, home to George the Unicorn – a party favorite among all attendees. The event also featured festive face painting, a balloon artist from the North Pole, STEAM crafts, school tours, a Holiday-themed s’mores bar, and more.

The new preschool opened its doors October 14.

“Simpsonville and the Golden Strip area of the Upstate is one of the best areas in the country for us to expand our childcare and early education programs,” said Company President Wes Wooten. “With the influx of young families to the area, there is a need for high-quality childcare and education – and that’s the mission our company strives to fulfill every day.”

The newly-constructed 10,800 square foot building is located right off Harrison Bridge Road and features a STEAM-infused nationally-recognized curriculum, security cameras in all classrooms, innovative playgrounds, state-of-the-art early childhood technology, and a mobile app for digital communication and photo and video updates. Foundations Early Learning Center serves children 6 weeks to 12 years old with programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-kindergarteners, and afterschool students.

“We are so excited to bring our innovative STEAM approach to Simpsonville,” said Michelle
Salcedo, Chief Academic Officer at Foundations Early Learning Center. “Twenty-first century
jobs call for a 21st century education. At Foundations, we are proud to provide an educational
approach that will provide children with what they need for this century, and beyond.”

Foundations Early Learning Center also operates two schools in Winston-Salem, NC, and one in Moncks Corner, SC, which opened earlier in 2019. The Simpsonville location is the company’s fourth school, and its first in the Upstate. A fifth location, off Hwy 14 in Greer, is under construction and is slated to open in late 2020.
