Premier Arts Collective to Oversee Triune Mercy Center’s Iconic Art Room

Greenville, South Carolina -  Premier Arts Collective (PAC), an experiential nonprofit organization that uses the arts as a vehicle of healing and hope, will be moving their office to the heart of Greenville at Triune Mercy Center (TMC) and overseeing the iconic Art Room located on TMC’s second floor.

“Moving PAC’s headquarters to Triune Mercy Center is poetic,” says Gene Krcelic, president of PAC. “Triune is ground zero for helping the homeless and those in need, there is no better place to serve.”

Premier Arts Collective has been a partner of Triune Mercy Center since 2022, offering weekly art and music therapy workshops free of charge to the Upstate community. As of September 2023, the groups have welcomed over 100 participants.

For years, the Art Room at Triune Mercy Center has been open to all parishioners throughout the week to express themselves and get away from the hardships of day-to-day life. At the beginning of the summer, Triune Mercy Center made the difficult decision to briefly close the Art Room as volunteer support waned and staff felt a season coming to a close. “The Art Room is my favorite place at Triune,” says Jennifer Fouse Sheorn, Pastor/Director of Triune Mercy Center. "It is most rare to gather people from various backgrounds and witness them create healing and beautiful art out of their stories. We’re excited that PAC will continue to create space and programming for healing and hope here!”

On Wednesday, September 6, the Art Room at Triune will officially reopen under the guidance of PAC.“We’re honored to partner with Triune and provide a space for all people to create,” said Logan Rice, Director of Events & Programs at PAC. “The Art Room brings people together from all walks of life, cultivating a community that is hard to find anywhere else. The reopening of the Art Room will allow the continuation of a vital community program that has been built by the faithful staff and volunteers at Triune. It truly is a collective win and it speaks volumes to the spirit of community and hope here in Greenville.”

The Art Room will be open every Monday (art and music therapy workshops) from 9:30am-11:30am, Wednesday, and Saturday (open studio) from 9:00am-12:00pm. If you would like to volunteer in the Art Room, please contact volunteer@premierartscollective.com.
