Peace of Triune Art Auction to be held April 19, featuring Anthem Artist Joe Everson

GREENVILLE, SC (March 27, 2018) - For the sixth time, the Upstate Woman’s Club of Simpsonville will host the Peace of Triune Art Auction benefiting Triune Mercy Center and its programs that minister to Greenville’s homeless. The event will be held on Thursday, April 19, at Studio 220 at the Hyatt Regency Greenville on North Main Street. Admission is free.

Presented by Southern First Bank, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction featuring art and other items contributed by area businesses. A live auction will follow, kicked off with a performance by popular Anthem Artist Joe Everson. An Upstate artist with a studio at Taylors Mills, Everson has gained national notoriety in recent months traveling the country singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at numerous public events while simultaneously painting the iconic scene of the American flag being raised after World War II’s Battle of Iwo Jima. Everson’s live-action performance will open the Peace of Triune’s live auction with the Iwo Jima painting going home with the winning bidder.

Hosted by professional auctioneer and art consultant Daniel Lyles of Dan Lyles Auctions, the Peace of Triune Art Auction features works by professional artists throughout the Upstate, along with those by artists in the Triune Art Room. All art and items for the silent auction are donated.

“The Upstate Woman’s Club is excited to once again produce the Peace of Triune Art Auction to help support the meaningful and tireless work of Triune Mercy Center,” said club president Kristin Decker. “This is an amazing event that continues to grow because of the generous support of area artists, sponsors, in-kind contributors, patrons and volunteers.”

Event sponsors include Jackson Marketing, Motorsports & Events, Performance HCM, AVL Solutions, Dan Lyles Auctions, Me and Me Designs Unlimited, Marla Rogers-State Farm Insurance, VFW of Simpsonville and Mitch & Suzanne Gault.
