Greenville, South Carolina (December 22, 2017) – On Tuesday, December 19, Panera Bread representatives presented Meals on Wheels of Greenville with funds to provide more than 1,450 meals to homebound individuals throughout Greenville County.
The funds were donated by five Panera locations: bakery-café 600654 on Haywood Road, bakery-café
601161 on Augusta Street, bakery-café 600940 on Wade Hampton Boulevard, bakery-café 600911 on Woodruff Road, and bakery-café 600859 on Harrison Bridge Road. For every delivery these Panera stores made between August 7 and August 20, 2017, $7.50 was donated to Meals on Wheels America and then given in full to Meals on Wheels of Greenville.
“We are thrilled that Panera Bread has chosen to partner with Meals on Wheels,” said Amanda Osborne, Director of Development at Meals on Wheels of Greenville. “The funds we received from this initiative will provide nutritious meals, plus a friendly volunteer visit, to homebound individuals in need throughout Greenville County.”
A total of ten Panera locations across the Upstate, plus 45 other locations across the United States, partnered with Meals on Wheels America as a part of this initiative.
