GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA, May 16, 2022 – Committed to giving back to the community, Greenville’s real estate leaders are sponsoring bike racks throughout the 60-acre park to encourage visitors to ride their bikes to Unity Park by giving them a safe secure place to park them.
Wilson Associates Real Estate, Milton Shockley, Bell Carrington Price & Gregg Attorneys at Law, Blackstream Real Estate and Woodfield Development each sponsored groups of racks providing bike parking for hundreds of bicycles.
“Greenville is an extraordinary community that attracts newcomers every day who want to live here, raise their families and build their careers,” said Sharon Wilson of Wilson Associates Real Estate. “Unity Park – before it even opened – and the Swamp Rabbit Trail that runs through it have had a tremendous impact on Greenville’s growth and the community’s real estate market. We are thrilled to help make that amenity even more enjoyable.”
The bike racks fit seamlessly among the park’s trails, greenspace and local eateries so residents and visitors can enjoy biking as part of a full day of healthy activities at the park.
Unity Park opens May 19, knitting together historic downtown neighborhoods in a way that reinforces the unity of the Greenville community while encouraging recreation, inclusiveness, exercise and sociability. The Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 22-mile greenway along the Reedy River running directly though Unity Park, will facilitate a large number of trail users and park visitors.
With a total of seven bike rack locations conveniently located throughout the park, riders will be able to enjoy a scenic ride, safely park their bikes and walk the historic park that has been more than a century in the making.
Two bike rack locations remain available for sponsorship. Interested sponsors should contact Bill Fox ([email protected]) to learn more about donating to Unity Park and contributing to its legacy.
