North Greenville University announces 2020-2021 theatre season which includes a production of "Hamlet."

Tigerville, SC (August 4, 2020) North Greenville University (NGU) School of the Arts announces its 2020-2021 theatre season.

"We are daring to imagine the possibilities," said NGU School of the Arts Associate Dean Amy Dunlap. "Because of the new world we find ourselves in, we are more in need of hope, joy, and laughter than ever before. We believe in the power of story to excite the imagination and stir the soul."

Dunlap says that these shows will bring hope and inspiration, grace, and forgiveness, a celebration of the joy of being alive, and the search for the true meaning of humanity.

The 2020-2021 theatre season includes:

"Daddy Long Legs"
Music and Lyrics by Paul Gord
Book by John Caird
September 24-26, October 1-3, 7:30 p.m., Billingsley Theatre
A heartwarming Cinderella story about a witty and winsome young woman and a mysterious benefactor. Based on the novel that also inspired a classic film in 1955.

"Joyful Noise"
By Tim Slover
With Music from "The Messiah"
November 12-14, 19-21, 7:30 p.m., Billingsley Theatre
Based on the true story of George Frederick Handel's struggle to write The Messiah. Follow the passions, politics, and people involved and how divine grace superseded.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"
By Charles M. Schulz, Clark Gesner, Michael Mayer, and Andrew Lippa
February 18-12, 25-27, 7:30 p.m., Billingsley Theatre
The Peanuts comic strip comes alive with all the energy, color, and laughs you know and love! Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Peppermint Patty, and of course, Snoopy are back!

"Hamlet"
