Eat. Drink. Jazz.
Greenville, S.C. – March 20, 2018 – The premier jazz and blues venue, Blues Boulevard, has reopened under new owners, Freddy Foster and Julius Tolbert. After years of success in the upstate, the two utilize their expertise in the hospitality industry. The venue will now include a delicious Southern-inspired menu, a variety of live events, and seating along the river for guests to enjoy.
The new owners plan to maintain the well-known venue’s character and soul while enhancing the overall guest experience. During the week, Blues Boulevard will highlight engaging live events:
Jazz + Paint
Jazz + Wine
Karaoke Nights and more.
Foster and Tolbert want to incorporate these new events while also staying true to the soul concept by having Rhythm + Blues Fridays and Saturday Night Jazz.
The venue is open 4-11 P.M. during the week and 4-2 A.M Friday and Saturday. Although the venue is closed Sunday-Tuesday, it can be rented out for other purposes. With twenty-five outdoor seats and seventy-five indoor seats available, Blues Boulevard can host up to a hundred people. Stay tuned for Sunday brunch from 11-3 P.M. opening in Spring of 2018.
Happy Hour will feature a $3 menu and be Tuesday-Saturday from 5-7 P.M.
“People should get excited to come to our place because our main focus is transforming the downtown entertainment/dining scene to infuse our guests with a unique blend of relaxed elegance, unprecedented comfort, and soulful hospitality that simply can't be matched. My favorite part of Blues Boulevard is the location itself. Being on the river allows a music venue like Blues to really shine if the operations is sound. There is no other venue like it in Greenville,” said Tolbert.
Chef Gregory Jones, well-known as Chef Gee, has a passion for cooking because it gives him an outlet to express creativity. The new Blues Boulevard menu will feature Chef Gee's favorite southern-style dishes like:
Collard Green Dip
Nawlins Shrimp Tacos
Gee’s Shrimp & Grits
Chicken & Waffles
J’s Fried Lasagna and much more.
In addition to the regional favorites, there will be premium salads, fine-crafted sandwiches and delicious desserts to choose from. An array of specialty drinks will also be available, making Blues Boulevard a great place to spend an evening with friends.
