Mobile Meals of Spartanburg Welcomes New Board of Directors

Mobile Meals of Spartanburg would like to welcome the following new Board of Directors.

Mrs. Laura Boles has been the marketing manager for the Eggs Up Grill franchise system since 2018. Prior to that, Laura was Morning Executive Producer at WSPA-TV where she worked for 7 years. Laura and her husband Baker have a 3 year old son, Bennett, and a daughter, Ellie, who was born in April 2021. Laura and Baker are members at First Presbyterian Church. Laura is also on the board at the Hope Center for Children.

Mrs. Melissa France previously worked as a Registered Nurse. Melissa and her husband have four children. Melissa is active in the community and serves as an elder at First Presbyterian Church. Melissa began Hand In Hand Ministry. This program that provides basic needs to children and families living in poverty or are homeless.

Mr. Thomas Maguire has previously served on the Mobile Meals Board of Directors and also served as Chair. Thomas owns PuroClean Restoration with offices in Spartanburg and Columbia helping people with water, fire and mold damage in their properties. Thomas is active in the youth ministry and mission trips with First Baptist Church Spartanburg. He and his wife Rosa have two daughters; Rebekah is a student at Winthrop University and Riley is a student at Spartanburg High School.

Mr. Stan Parker has been a Senior Vice President for corporate banking for BB&T/ Truist for the past 19 years. He is actively involved in the Spartanburg Community serving on a number of Boards and in various volunteer activities which currently includes The Chapman Cultural Center and now Mobile Meals. Stan has been actively involved at
Mobile Meals for nearly 30 years and delivering meals to Archibald Rutledge Apartments during that time. Stan has served on the Solicitation Committee for the International Challenge Cup Golf tournament since its inception in 1995. Stan and his wife Vicky have 2 adult children (Morgan and Erin) and are members of Grace Church.

Mr. Bill Robinson, a native of Union, South Carolina, holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Wofford College. Bill is the vice president of Gosnell Menard Robinson Infante CPAs PA. He resides in Spartanburg with his wife and son. Bill also has daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

A special thank you to the following who rotated off the Board of Directors in June. Your guidance and service is greatly appreciated!

The Honorable E. C. Burnett is a retired Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court. He has been a longtime volunteer and supporter of Mobile Meals. He delivers a route every Wednesday. Justice Burnett is an Elder at Mount Calvary Presbyterian Church. He is married to Jami Grant Burnett. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Mr. Jan Caldwell is the owner of Southeastern Printing. He and his family have been faithful supporters of Mobile Meals since our inception 44 years ago. He and his wife, Toni, reside in Moore. They have two daughters and two grandsons.

Mr. Bill Cummings is a retired attorney from Cummings & Anderson, Attorneys at Law, LLC in Spartanburg. He is a faithful volunteer driver. He delivers meals on Fridays. He also serves as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Cindy have been longtime supporters of Mobile Meals.

Mrs. Darlene Dickson is the US Postmaster in Inman. She and her husband, Isaac have personally supported the Hub City Hog Fest. They attend St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church, they have one son, and they reside in Moore.

Mr. Corky Taylor is a retired builder and developer. Since his retirement, he volunteers with Mobile Meals. He and his wife, Marcia, reside in Spartanburg. They have two sons and seven grandchildren.
