Miracle Hill in Motion to Provide Care and Support for Homeless

Cyclists participate in Miracle in Motion to benefit homeless

Cyclists, Kid Ninja Warriors and Volunteers Needed for Event

GREENVILLE, SC (March 28, 2019) – Miracle Hill Ministries will host its second annual Miracle Hill in Motion on June 1, 2019, a fundraising event that includes four cycling routes for novice and experienced riders and a Kids Ninja Warrior course. Participants will engage in challenging, fun events while raising awareness of the needs of the homeless and support for Miracle Hill’s shelters and programs.

“The homeless in our community can sometimes feel invisible, but they exist and they are our neighbors. Loving our neighbors in the name of Christ is what Miracle Hill Ministries is all about, and this event offers a unique way to love others and meet their needs,” said Kaylin Leopard, Event Coordinator for Miracle Hill. Last year alone, Miracle Hill cared for nearly 3,400 homeless children and adults.

Miracle Hill in Motion will include cycling distances of 24, 38, 69, or 80 miles. All routes will begin and end at Miracle Hill Children’s Home – located at 411 Miracle Hill Road in Pickens, South Carolina. The Kids Ninja Warrior Courses for ages 4-12 will also be held at the Children’s Home. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers and fundraisers, and kids can participate in additional fun activities after completing the course. Lunch will be provided for cyclists, and ice cream will be available to beat the June heat. More than 100 volunteers will be needed to support Miracle Hill in Motion including SAG drivers, rest stop monitors, set-up crew, registration, check-in teams, and more.

Miracle Hill is grateful for the many community partners making this event possible including Ingles, His Radio, Greenville Journal, Upstate Business Journal, Praise Cathedral, and WSPA. WSPA Chief Meteorologist Christy Henderson and His Radio DJ’s Rob Dempsey and Jim Mann will be on hand to emcee the day’s events.

Discounted early bird registration ends on April 18th, but registration will continue through the morning of the event. Additional information, registration and volunteer opportunities are available at miraclehill.org/mhim.
