GREENVILLE, SC (July 28, 2020) – In response to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions, Miracle Hill Ministries has transitioned its Kids Ninja Challenge fundraising event on August 29, 2020 to a livestreamed CEO Ninja Challenge that will stretch President/CEO, Ryan Duerk, to the limit while raising awareness about the needs of the Upstate’s homeless.
“When I think about the difficult circumstances people experiencing homelessness are facing every day, it’s a huge motivation for me to train and prepare for this challenge,” said Duerk.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on August 29th, Duerk will cycle from Miracle Hill’s Foster Home Community in Pickens to the Greenville Rescue Mission. From the Mission, he will run to Miracle Hill Renewal Center, Overcomers Center, and Shepherd’s Gate. The 33-mile route will culminate at the Motive School of Movement in Greenville where American Ninja Warriors will help Duerk complete a challenging Ninja Warrior course.
“We realize that people are struggling right now and many organizations have had to shift their plans for special events, but we hope this CEO Ninja Challenge will be an inspiration and encourage our community to stay strong,” said Kaylin Leopard, Event Coordinator. “We’re still here, we’re still serving the vulnerable, and we have faith that God is going to see us through.”
The event will be livestreamed on Miracle Hill’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MiracleHill beginning at 8 a.m. Current sponsors include Bon Secours, Praise Cathedral and WSPA. For more information or to donate in support of Miracle Hill’s shelters and programs, visit miraclehill.org/ninja.
