David Means
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Means Wealth Management, a registered investment advisor, is pleased to announce the addition of financial advisor David Means to the firm. Dave Means, son of current Chairman Paul Means and grandson of Means founder David G. Means, joins the firm with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
Dave attended Furman University, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Means Wealth, he worked as a Senior Financial Advisor and Vice President of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors in Hendersonville, North Carolina. During his time there, Dave gained extensive experience in developing wealth management and retirement planning strategies for his clients.
“Knowing my grandfather built this business from the ground up and seeing firsthand my father continue his legacy has always made me proud to be a "Means" and without question shaped my career path,” said Dave when asked about his new opportunity to work alongside his father and two brothers. “Joining my father and brothers at our family firm is a dream and an honor. I am excited to bring my years of experience to an independent firm, which employs sophisticated technology solutions while also emphasizing a client-first approach.”
As Senior Vice President, Dave will be directly working alongside his brother, Alex Means, to lead the team in Greenville, South Carolina, representing the positive growth the firm has seen in the region. “His added value and perspective will be more than welcome as we continue to build our outreach, as well as our relationships, here in the Upstate. We are thrilled to have Dave join our team,” said Alex.
“As an owner of the firm and a veteran financial advisor, I am thrilled to welcome my eldest son, Dave Means, to our organization,” said Chairman Paul Means, who is celebrating his 50th anniversary at Means this year. Dave’s brother, Zach Means, who is President of Means Wealth, adds, “It has long been our goal to have Dave join the team. Growing up in and around our family business, he knows what sets our firm apart and what drives us as advisors. His experience and knowledge will only be accretive to the growth of our firm and, most importantly, to our clients.”
Means Wealth is currently undergoing construction of an upgraded office location at 325 Augusta Road in Greenville, with plans for completion toward the end of 2022. The move to the new location will provide the opportunity for an expanded workspace for current employees with room to grow. Construction services and planning of the new office are being handled by P + F Construction and SHLTR Architects, along with partnerships with other local businesses.
