Greenville, South Carolina (June 13, 2018) – Meals on Wheels of Greenville is pleased to announce a new young professionals group: Meals on Wheels of Greenville Young Professionals. Designed for individuals ages 21 to 39, Meals on Wheels of Greenville Young Professionals (MOWGYPs) support the mission of Meals on Wheels of Greenville through volunteerism, fundraising and advocacy.
“We’re excited to engage young professionals throughout Greenville County in the mission of Meals on Wheels,” said Jessica Sharp, Director of Volunteer Services at Meals on Wheels of Greenville and staff liaison to the group. “As MOWGYP members, young professionals will have the opportunity to volunteer their time, fundraise to support operations, raise awareness about the Meals on Wheels mission, network and develop leadership skills.”
An annual membership fee of $60 is required to become a MOWGYP member and provides 12 meals to a homebound client of Meals on Wheels. A membership form and additional information about the group can be found at www.MealsonWheelsGreenville.org/YP.
