Main Street USC and Ten at the Top Announce Partnership

Greenville, SC [July 12] - Main Street South Carolina and Ten at the Top are thrilled to announce their partnership, aimed at creating thriving downtowns across all ten counties of the Upstate region. The vision behind this collaboration is to establish successful downtown areas where small businesses can flourish, communities can gather with pride, and visitors can experience authenticity and historic charm.

This strategic alliance will provide enhanced support to downtowns throughout Upstate South Carolina. Main Street SC will leverage its resources to assist existing and aspiring Main Street communities, while Ten at the Top will focus on the ten counties and their respective cities and towns in Upstate SC. By combining their expertise, these organizations will empower more downtowns to adopt the Main Street Approach, expedite the revitalization process, and achieve positive outcomes.

Ten at the Top is in the process of building a network comprising revitalization professionals, city and county staff members, business support organizations, businesses, and community members in the Upstate region. This network will facilitate the exchange of best practices, avoiding duplication of efforts, and allowing communities to leverage the knowledge and resources required to revitalize their downtown areas.

Jenny Boulware, Main Street South Carolina Manager, expressed her enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, "Collaborating with TATT reinforces the Main Street network’s collaborative process. By uniting our information sharing and resources we are more effectively strengthening regional efforts and programming.”

Dean Hybl, Executive Director of Ten at the Top, commented, “Community vibrancy and creating a sense of place in all Upstate communities was identified within Ten at the Top’s original vision work more than a decade ago and has been a focus of our Elevate Upstate grant program. We have so much respect for the work of South Carolina Main Street in assisting downtowns across the state and look forward to partnering on expanding opportunities for every downtown in our Upstate region to thrive.”
