Spartanburg, S.C. — Tindall Corporation’s Vice President of Human Resources, Kelly Mendez-Scheib, was named South Carolina’s Human Resources Professional of the Year by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce for her HR expertise as well as contributions to Tindall and to the Upstate community.

Kelly currently serves as the HR executive across all six Tindall divisions, directing the company’s strategic HR function for the organization and defining its total rewards strategy, including managing a self-insured benefits program, a compensation program and an incentive program. She also serves as a liaison and coach for senior leadership regarding HR and business-related matters and leads business partners in recruiting, onboarding, performance, compensation and learning platform design and implementation.
“I’ve dedicated my professional life to bettering human resources practices and strategies, so it’s an honor to be recognized for my work by the state’s Chamber of Commerce,” said Mendez-Scheib. “My experience as an HR professional with the Tindall family has been rewarding, and I look forward to reaching our company goals, not only in South Carolina, but across the southeast.”
Kelly is also an active member of several community organizations, including Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the University Center of Greenville and as an HR Thought Leader of the Greenville Society of Human Resources Management. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Anderson University, with prior experience at the University of South Carolina Upstate, teaching MBA-level courses and HR management. Kelly is also a registered Corporate Coach.
In her spare time, Mendez-Scheib enjoys volunteering in the local community and spending time with her family. She was a Woman of the Year candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign in 2017. She is passionately involved within the foster care community, caring for her two foster children, both under the age of two, in addition to her own three young children.
