Atlanta/Greenville, S.C. – John Yates, who heads Morris, Manning & Martin’s Technology Group, will moderate a panel for aspiring Carolina entrepreneurs this fall. On Sept. 22, Yates will lead the discussion on venture capital at the NEXT Venture Summit in Greenville. The Summit attracts high-growth entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and world-class speakers to establish Greenville as a Southeast hub of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The panel Yates will moderate is “Venture Capital in 2022: A Panel Discussion on Recent Trends and Tips from Top VCs in the Region.” It’s part of the Summit’s Morning Entrepreneur Leadership Series, which organizers packed with actionable content geared towards growing and scaling companies.
“Greenville – and the Carolinas as a whole – have extremely talented technology entrepreneurs, and I am really looking forward to helping share useful insights from venture capitalists who can supply much-needed funding to this eager group,” Yates said.
“We are indebted to John’s personal support for NEXT Venture Summit through the years,” said Alex Estevez, Chair of NEXT Venture Summit and Venture Partner with Accel. “There is no comparison to John’s commitment and good counsel to Carolina-based entrepreneurs over the past several decades, and we are so pleased to have him lead this venture panel again this year.”
In the afternoon, select startups will participate in an onstage Q&A with a panel of VC judges. One entrepreneur will receive an automatic opportunity to present at the onstage showcase at Venture Atlanta, (www.ventureatlanta.org/conference/) the region’s largest venture conference, at The Woodruff Arts Center and Atlanta Symphony Hall in October.
