GREENVILLE, S.C.— Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty has added four Associates and a new Director of Marketing to its growing team serving the Upstate of South Carolina.
New Associates are Michelle Braunschweig, Patrick Schnelbach, Brandon Slaton, and Kristin Ray while the new Director of Marketing is Jillian Sobeck Whalen.
Based out of the company’s Clemson/Lake’s Region office, Braunschweig focuses her real estate business in the Lake Keowee region -- specifically within The Reserve at Lake Keowee, one of the South's premier lake and country club communities. Braunschweig started her real estate career in her home state of Wisconsin.
With a degree in construction engineering, Schnelbach spent the past three decades in sales with an emphasis on housing infrastructures such as heating, cooling, and plumbing in Michigan. He received the Team Bob’s Award of Excellence for five consecutive years of working on mechanical projects.
A Spartanburg native, Slaton brings a wealth of customer driven experience to the Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty team. He has spent eight years working one-on-one with people in various roles from restaurants to golf to vehicles and more. Entering real estate with a focus on Spartanburg makes him a valuable team member. He also speaks Spanish.
Ray brings a powerful mix of hospitality, high-profile country club knowledge, and scheduling management to Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty.
Working her way through school while majoring in business at Palomar College, she gained valuable experience in the service industry working a host of back-of-the-house jobs. After college, she spent five years as an office manager in a chiropractic office working one on one with patients with care plans, therapy, and discretion for their health.
A Clemson graduate who grew up in Greenville, Whalen brings a wealth of experience having worked for Podesta Group, Axios, and most recently a top team at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in the greater Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. She will be in charge of all marketing efforts for Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty while still maintaining her own marketing company, Sobeck Studio LLC.
“As we continue to grow and strengthen our presence in the Upstate, these five are valuable additions,” said Joan Herlong, the company's owner and CEO. “Each of them has unique skills and abilities that will make them fantastic members of our company.”
