Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies recently hosted Kate Glenn, a student at Wofford College, to work in its Spartanburg office during Wofford’s Interim session. Glenn worked with the firm’s team of financial advisors to assist with financial planning, investment research, and marketing activities.

Glenn is from Greenville, South Carolina, and is a sophomore at Wofford College, majoring in finance and minoring in business. She plans to make a career in finance and is passionate about gaining the knowledge and experience needed to be successful.

Over the past five years, Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies has hosted seven interns from Wofford and has hired three Wofford graduates for full-time positions. Beth Jeter Hrubala, President and Owner of Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies, and a graduate of Wofford College, commented on her experience, “I love partnering with Wofford to provide students a professional experience that can better prepare them for the future. Wofford prepares students to think critically, to communicate effectively, and to solve problems creatively. I need team members with these skills, as these are the skills that allow us to help clients each day. Clients depend on us to help them make financial decisions and to be thought partners about all types of complex financial-related matters. Each intern we have hosted has provided valuable insights, asked thoughtful questions, and ultimately made us better at what we do. I am always impressed with the caliber of the students and perspective each student has brought to the work we do for clients.”

Curt McPhail, Executive Director at Wofford College’s Career Center, comments on Wofford’s commitment to internship experiences, “Internships are an ideal way for students to explore careers and get real-world experience to prepare for life after college. Many Wofford students take advantage of internships, and that’s a huge reason over 97% of our graduates are doing something related to their career within six-months of graduation. We appreciate opportunities to connect our students with companies like Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies and the valuable experience they provide.”
