Jessica Haarsgaard to Continue to Serve on Southeast Region’s Governing Board of the Legal Marketing Association

CHICAGO, February 25, 2020 — The Legal Marketing Association (LMA), which represents 4,000 legal marketing and business development professionals in 48 U.S. states, Canada and 25 other countries, is proud to announce that Jessica Haarsgaard will serve Immediate Past President on the 2020 Governing Board of the Southeast Region of LMA. Haarsgaard’s volunteer leadership role was effective January 1, 2020.

As the authority of legal marketing worldwide, LMA provides the legal marketing community with thought leadership, professional advocacy and personal enrichment. Serving on the Regional Governing Board is incredibly important as this board focuses on creating and implementing programming, resources, and professional development initiatives that provide values to members across the whole southeast region.

“We are excited to have each of our regional and local groups led by outstanding leaders in 2020 and are confident they will continue to provide outstanding experiences for our members,” said Nikki Sherrill, chair of the LMA Regional Leaders’ Committee. “It is the programming at the local and regional level that have one of the biggest impacts on recruiting and retaining members, making each member of LMA’s eight regional governing boards critically important to LMA’s long-term success.”

Haarsgaard has served on the Governing Board of the Southeast Region of LMA since 2016, and has served in numerous roles during her time on the Board, including the role of President in 2019. She is a Business Development Manager at Burr & Forman in their Greenville, South Carolina office and has been a member of the LMA organization since 2013.

Founded in 1985, the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is the universal voice of the legal marketing and business development profession, a community that brings together CMOs to entry-level specialists from firms of all sizes, consultants, vendors, lawyers and marketers from other professions to share their collective knowledge. LMA has eight regions and 39 local groups across the United States and Canada, and its 4,000 members hail from 48 U.S. states and 26 countries. More than 90 percent of the largest 200 U.S. law firms employ an LMA member. Members at every stage in their career development benefit from participating in LMA’s array of programs and services.
