Mike co-founded DP3 Architects, Ltd. (formerly Design Partnership, Inc.) in 1984, with Clemson University classmates Sam Justice and Mark Eggl, with the desire to deliver quality projects in Greenville. What began as 3 architects in the basement of a house has grown to a firm of 28 professionals having designed projects in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
The planned transition of the firm’s leadership has been in place for the past few years with principals Brian Thomas, Meg Terry, Ben Urueta, and Mike Pry assuming leadership roles and continuing the values fostered by Mike and his co-founders. DP3 Architects will continue to provide quality design services and be true to the mission of “people, places, purpose” by improving the lives of those who live, work, and play in the spaces it creates.
Brian Thomas, President of DP3 Architects, states; “Mike’s leadership has always focused on our core principles of high-quality service, response, and attention to detail. Emphasis on these will ensure the successful transition to the next generation of leadership in the firm.”
For almost 38 years, through the many wins and challenges, Mike has always been a wise voice in the room and a study on prioritizing both high-quality design and meaningful relationships.
“Our entire firm is built on relationships. This includes relationships within the communities in which we work, our clients, the construction community, and our team members. It is an honor for a client to put their faith in you to help them envision their project. We take that honor very seriously. DP3 Architects is well positioned to continue and build on these relationships, and I am confident in the bright future and continued success of the firm.” -J. Michael Taylor.
