High Spirits Hospitality named Greenville Chamber Small Business of the Month

Tammy JohnsonGREENVILLE, S.C. – High Spirits Hospitality -- the parent company of Liquid Catering, The Old Cigar Warehouse, Bravo1 Protection and High Spirits Events, was honored with the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Month Thursday.

High Spirits Hospitality was started in January 2011 when Tammy Johnson opened Liquid Catering, a special event bartending company. The Old Cigar Warehouse followed in February of 2013, and she added Bravo1 Protection, a private security company, in 2015. She started High Spirits Hospitality in 2017 to oversee all of those companies along with High Spirits Events, which is an event company that puts on the annual Tacos ‘n Tequila Fiesta. The firm also manages Topside Pool Club.

A Small and Minority-Owned Business Certification from the State of South Carolina for being 100 percent women-owned, High Spirits has been a long-time supporter of the Chamber and numerous other Upstate organizations including euphoria, Artisphere and Fall for Greenville.

The Chamber’s Small Business of the Month award recognizes extraordinary businesses in the Upstate. Winners are eligible to be named the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year during its annual meeting next winter.

“The past few months have been challenging for the event industry as we faced the Covid-19 pandemic,” Johnson said. “This award means a lot because it shows that we have been doing the right thing.”
