GREENVILLE, SC (August 13, 2021) – Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd is pleased to announce that Stinson Woodward Ferguson has earned a Certificate in Sustainable Management from Duke University. This certification equips professionals to develop sustainability plans, from the planning phase through execution, for organizations based on their sustainability goals.
“To remain competitive and maintain goodwill, companies need to proactively assess and adapt their business models and plans, including the ways they utilize human and natural resources,” said Stinson. “Completing this program in Sustainable Management will help me to provide my clients with in-depth insight into creating and maintaining a sustainable business. The question is not ‘if,’ but ‘when,’ sustainable business practices will directly affect an organization’s economic vitality. The time to act is now.”
Stinson focuses her practice in the areas of environmental law and commercial disputes. In addition to advising clients on sustainable business practices, she counsels clients on permitting disputes and enforcement, real estate transactions, solar legislation and development and brownfield redevelopment. She is recognized for environmental law in Greenville Business Magazine’s 2021 “Legal Elite.”
Active in the community, Stinson is a Board Member for Ten at the Top (TATT) and serves on the city of Greenville’s Green Ribbon Advisory Committee. She is a graduate of the Riley Institute at Furman’s Diversity Leaders Initiative and the Furman University Women’s Leadership Institute.
