Handel’s ‘Messiah’ Coming To Limestone College On December 2

Local residents can celebrate the beginning of Advent by attending the upcoming performance of the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah” by the Limestone College & Community Chorus.

The concert, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will be held in Fullerton Auditorium at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2.

There is no admission charge for this event sponsored by the Limestone College Department of Music.

Limestone Central Elementary School chorus students will participate in opening and closing selections.

Limestone’s graduating seniors Windy Addington, Luke Holt, and Jade Alford will be recognized and will be featured as soloists in the performance of “Amen.”

The concert is being dedicated to the memory of two Gaffney citizens who died this past year, Dr. Preston Edwards and James (Jimmy) Moss.
