Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County Awarded Best Green Builder of 2018

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County was awarded the Best Green Builder of the Year in the 2018 by Best of the Upstate Awards.

The awards are based on nominations granted by the people of the Upstate to local businesses around the community. The top two nominees that make it through the three rounds of voting receive invitations to the award ceremony where the winners are announced. This award not only recognizes Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, but also recognizes the many donors and volunteers involved with helping to make these houses a reality.

“Winning this award is such an honor for our organization,” said Monroe Free, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. “We want to recognize our great community and all of those donors and volunteers who have supported us as we provide affordable homeownership for families in Greenville County.”

Winning this award comes at a time when the organization is at the start of a strategic plan to double its output over the next five years. Because of the support of the Greenville community, Habitat Greenville continues its busy spring schedule constructing various homes and completing home preservation projects for families in Greenville County.
