Greenville, SC —Wednesday, February 21, 2018. The Greenville Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (GSHRM) announced today that two Chapter Members are the 2017 recipients of the annual GSHRM Lifetime Achievement Award and the annual GSHRM Human Resources Professional of the Year Award.
Bob Lowe is GSHRM’s 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. After a successful 29-year career with Nestle North America, Bob is now a Principal and Partner in two local HR consulting firms where he advised companies on employee engagement and other people-management processes. Bob is an active member of the community and participates in GSHRM Workforce Readiness initiatives, Special Olympics, and in his local church community. He also serves as a professional mentor.
Leigh Anna Compton, SPHR, SHRM-CP is GHSRM’s 2017 HR Professional of the Year. Leigh Anna led her company through acquisition, business reorganization and sale of portions of the business. As Director of Human Resources at HKA Enterprises, LLC, she built her HR team and implemented new HR policies and practices to improve the management and employee experience. Leigh Anna serves as GSHRM treasurer-elect.
GSHRM 2018 President Nancy McCartney had this to say: “Not only are their careers shining examples of HR, both Bob and Leigh Anna exhibit unwavering support to the continuing growth and development of human resources. Their respective awards exhibit goals achieved with their leadership in integrity, innovation, strategic thinking, character, passion, influence and knowledge.”
In addition to local recognition, both Bob Lowe and Leigh Anna Compton have been selected as finalists for the 2018 HR Professional of the Year Award. This award will be presented Thursday, March 1, 2018 during the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s 28th annual Human Resources Conference at Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms, SC.
