Greenville Financial Empowerment Center (Greenville FEC), a program of the Greenville County Human Relations Commission, announces Sheryl Hanshaw and James Cooley as its newest certified Financial Empowerment Counselors.

Sheryl Hanshaw comes to the agency with experience in education, having taught in elementary classrooms for the past 10 years, with a focus on students with autism. Early in life she often lived “paycheck to paycheck,” and once she broke out of that cycle, she recognized the immense freedom in having control over her finances. She is excited to partner with the people of Greenville county by walking alongside them in their financial journey to educate them on new ways to handle their finances, empower them to make the changes that are needed, and celebrate when they find success.

James Cooley brings experience in insurance and superb customer service. He focuses on helping clients feel understood and revels in providing clarity with their personal finances. His goal is to empower those he encounters to recognize their goals and take decisive action in order make their dreams reality.
