FUEL Selects The Homeless Period Project as Grant Recipient

FUEL – a Greenville-based marketing agency offering a full suite of strategy, creative, branding, advertising, and PR services – has selected The Homeless Period Project as its fourth quarter 2021 recipient for the FUEL for Good Grant program.

The Homeless Period Project is committed to providing safe, hygienic feminine products to underprivileged women and advocating for equal, tax-free access to these products. “Although a global issue, period poverty is prevalent in South Carolina and throughout the U.S., and we’re on a mission to raise awareness about this oftentimes taboo issue and make a real difference in as many communities as possible,” said Laurie Rovin, interim CEO for The Homeless Period Project. “We’re looking forward to working with the FUEL team to help us with our branding, messaging, and marketing so we can share our story and make a greater impact for girls and women in need.”

FUEL is committed to making a difference in the community and uses the FUEL for Good Grant program to help local nonprofits by providing marketing consulting, graphic design, copywriting, and other services at no cost. Since launching the program in 2020, FUEL has worked with seven local nonprofits and donated more than 500 hours of services with work ranging from videos and logo development to websites and PR/social campaigns.

“We created the grant program to enable our team to work together and use their time and talents to make a real impact on a local nonprofit organization and our community,” said Meredith Kinsey, FUEL president and COO. “The Homeless Period Project has specific branding opportunities and marketing needs, and we look forward to working with them over the next few months to identify creative and effective solutions.”
