Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Greenville Honored with Distinguished Award at Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting

Catriona Carlisle was presented with the Leadership Greenville Distinguished Alumni award at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s 132nd annual meeting.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – September 23, 2021 – Meals on Wheels of Greenville, a non-profit that provides nutritious meals, personal interaction and independence to homebound individuals and seniors in Greenville County, is proud to share that Executive Director Catriona Carlisle has been recognized with the Leadership Greenville Distinguished Alumni award at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s 132nd annual meeting. Carlisle is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 41 and has been with Meals on Wheels of Greenville since 2009.


“Catriona provides incredible leadership at Meals on Wheels, and this award is a testament to the instrumental role she plays not only in our organization but in the Greenville community as well,” said Lucas Marchant, Chairman of the Board for Meals on Wheels of Greenville, and a Leadership Greenville Class 42 graduate. “She strives to make an impact every day and truly embodies the Meals on Wheels mission to enhance the quality of life and deliver more than meals to homebound individuals and seniors in Greenville county.”

In addition to overseeing the operations and strategic planning for Meals on Wheels of Greenville, Carlisle is also involved in the community as a member of the Greenville Professional Women’s Forum and the South Carolina Association of Council on Aging and serves on the Executive Committee for the Food Insecurity Coalition.

“Leadership Greenville is an incredible tool for fostering understanding and collaboration in our city and I am grateful to be recognized among such an accomplished group of graduates,” said Carlisle. “I love being able to make an impact in Greenville both through the work and mission of Meals on Wheels, but also through the many other groups I’m able to be a part of. There are so many passionate individuals that come together to make Greenville one of the best communities to live, work, and grow in.”

Each year, Leadership Greenville honors an alum of the Leadership Greenville program who continually strives towards the betterment of the Greenville community and has made significant civic and community contributions.
