Eggs Up Grill Continues to Grow Throughout South Carolina with Latest Opening Dazz Collins, a multi-unit restaurant owner with the brand has opened her third location in the state, in Simpsonville.

Simpsonville, S.C. — Dazz Collins, a former preschool teacher turned restaurant owner, is continuing to grow with the Eggs Up Grill and recently opened her third restaurant, in Simpsonville at 301 N Main St.

Collins joined Eggs Up Grill in 2015 when she purchased an existing location on Woodruff Road in Greenville. The former pre-school teacher of 20 years had no prior restaurant experience, but she instantly excelled in the role, eventually owning three restaurants with the brand. Collins opened her second location in Greenville in 2019 and opened the Simpsonville location in spring of 2020.

“I fell in love with Eggs Up Grill the first time that I walked into one of the locations,” said Collins. “I had been a preschool teacher for almost 20 years and had never owned a restaurant, but the positive experience has led me to continue to grow with Eggs Up Grill. We offer a laid-back environment of neighbors serving neighbors where everybody knows your name.”

Despite the Simpsonville restaurant’s opening in the midst of dining restrictions, the restaurant has been able to realize early success. The restaurant offers curbside and online ordering and will soon launch delivery through a third-party partner. Eggs Up Grill in Simpsonville also features Family Bundle Meals available for takeout or delivery. These meals are designed to feed a family of four for less than $25, with options available that feed up to six.

Collins was also recognized in 2019 and received the "Platinum Egg Award" for having the top sales in the system at Eggs Up Grill's annual owners meeting.

“Dazz is an incredibly strong owner and a fundamental asset to the Eggs Up Grill franchise system,” said Eggs Up Grill CEO Ricky Richardson. “We are fortunate to grow with such incredible partners as we continue to expand throughout the Southeast.”

Eggs Up Grill is home to the whole neighborhood, serving smiles from sunup thru lunch. The aromas of freshly brewed coffee, savory bacon and hand-cracked, farm-fresh eggs on the griddle and warm, attentive team members will make you feel right at home. We are “neighbors serving neighbors” daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Originally founded in Pawleys Island, S.C. in 1997 by restaurateur Chris Skodras, Eggs Up Grill has grown to over 40 locations across the Southeast and is headquartered in Spartanburg, S.C. With strong AUVs and consistent comp sales momentum, it’s no wonder existing franchisees are reinvesting in the brand, accounting for half of its projected 40% growth in 2019. In 2018, private equity firm WJ Partners acquired Eggs Up Grill, building the team and priming the brand to rapidly grow in more communities across the U.S. with plans underway to reach the 100-location mark by 2022.
