Curvey succeeds Dr. Josef Mittermeier who held this position for the last two years and is now returning to the corporate headquarters of the DRÄXLMAIER Group in Germany to lead the key accounts for BMW and Next Mobility customers.
Curvey has been with the DRÄXLMAIER Group since June 2019, when she was hired as chief commercial officer for the Americas region. In this function, she was responsible for Human Resources, Site Infrastructure, Information Technology, Legal Affairs and Corporate Communications for the DRÄXLMAIER locations in Mexico, Nicaragua and the USA, which includes the production sites in Duncan, S.C., and Livermore, Calif.
As CEO for the Americas region, Curvey and her management team will organize cross-functional cooperation to enable successful implementation of projects in the region. She reports directly to the CEO of the DRÄXLMAIER Group, Jürgen Otto.
Prior to joining the DRÄXLMAIER Group, Curvey spent 16 years in Human Resources at Brose North America, most recently as vice president of HR. Before leaving the Detroit area, she was a member and chair of the Human Resources Council for the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA). She also served on the Talent Committee and CEO Council for MICHauto, the state’s automotive and mobility cluster association, from 2017 to 2019.
Born and raised in Detroit, Curvey is looking forward to making a permanent home in the Upstate of South Carolina.
“The DRÄXLMAIER Group has positioned itself to be a major player in the field of next mobility solutions,” Curvey said. “I am honored to lead such an amazing team of innovative and engaged professionals and help grow our family business together.”
