Annette L. Scott, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, of Greenwood headquartered Countybank began a one-year term as chair of the South Carolina Bankers School on July 15.
The South Carolina Bankers School is the premier educational and professional development program sponsored by the South Carolina Bankers Association. Scott will chair the 59th annual session of the school held for the eleventh year at Lander University in Greenwood, SC.
“Our Bankers School has over 3,000 alumni that have benefited from an outstanding curriculum. With the rapid changes in our industry, having leaders like Annette involved in all aspects of the school keeps the school up-to-date and relevant to today’s bankers,” said SCBA President and CEO Fred Green.
“We send a number of our bankers to the South Carolina Bankers School each year and they gain a better knowledge of banking issues beyond their current role. Annette will do a great job as Chairman and I am proud that she has accepted this challenge,” said R. Thornwell Dunlap, III, President and Chief Executive Officer of Countybank and past Chairman of the South Carolina Bankers Association.
The South Carolina Bankers Association is the trade and professional association representing more than 70 financial institutions across the state.
