Connie Cleveland’s Dog Trainers Workshop Fields 12 Teams for AKC Classic, Godbey and Irish Setter Geisha Take First Place in Utility

Upstate, South Carolina – April 2, 2018 Dog Trainers Workshop, a full-service training and boarding facility based in Fountain Inn, SC, has fielded 12 obedience teams at the annual AKC Obedience Classic competition. Nancy Godbey & Irish Setter Geisha took first place in the Utility division while Annette Sizemore & Golden Retriever Duncan took ninth in the Novice division. Irish Setter Geisha was also the highest scoring dog in her breed.

"Teams from Dog Trainers Workshop have been attending the Classic for the past five years," says Connie Cleveland, CEO and founder of Dog Trainers Workshop. "In all five years, either I or a student has won a division. I am very pleased with that level of consistent quality and it speaks well of both our trainers and students' dedication and commitment to excellence. I'm also thrilled at how many students compete in national shows."

"I grew up in a home with a plaque hanging on the kitchen wall that said 'To win the game is great, to play the game is greater, to love the game is greatest.' That's what we value for all of our students -- to play the game, to be in the ring of competition, and to love the game more than the winning."
