Claire Jones
The South Carolina Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce hosted their Annual Human Resources Conference September 22-24, 2021, in Myrtle Beach. During this conference, the Human Resources Professional of the Year was presented to Claire Jones, Director of Human Resources with the SC Education Lottery. The Award for Professional Excellence in Human Resources Management recognizes creative approaches and consistently high performance that benefits the nominee’s company or organization and the business and professional community. The person selected is the “best” in the human resources profession.
Claire is a distinguished Human Resources Professional, who will celebrate her 15th anniversary with the SC Education Lottery this November. As one of the first recipients to receive the Lottery's LIFE scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Claire feels honored to serve her organization in achieving its mission to support funding for education in the Palmetto State. She is certified through the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Human Resources Professional (PHR) and through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP.)
Additionally, Claire is a 2016 graduate and former Advisory Board member of Leadership Columbia, she serves on the Human Resources Committee for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and is a Board Member for the Columbia Chapter of SHRM and the Prisma Health Midlands Foundation.
