Stratos Aviation Flight School has earned the Cirrus Aircraft Training Center designation.

“There are so many flight schools in South Carolina, in fact we have 7 at the Greenville Downtown Airport alone”, stated Airport Director, Joe Frasher. “There are only two that have been awarded the prestigious Cirrus Training Center classification, Stratos Aviation at our airport and one down on the coast.”

“Cirrus Aircraft have a parachute that is built into its’ frame making it one of the safest general aviation aircraft to fly”, explained Stratos Aviation’s CEO and founder, Dimitri Partafyllas. “This feature, along with the technologically advanced navigational equipment in the cockpit, made our first Cirrus Aircraft a favorite of our students and instructors. Due to its’ popularity, we are now flying a second state-of-the-art Cirrus Aircraft and we plan to add more.”

“This is a wonderful addition to all the services offered at our airport for local aspiring pilots. Being a Cirrus Training Center, Stratos Aviation will also attract future pilots to come to Greenville for instruction. With our beautiful downtown just 3 miles away, who could ask for a better city to spend time in while learning to fly?” added Frasher.
